About Us - Our Story

When I learned that my son had food allergies, I wanted to find great food that we could eat together. I found that many specialty foods did not easily fit a new family's budget.

So, I got out my favorite pancake recipe and started to experiment. The result became a regular holiday gift for family and friends.

When I belonged to a mom's group, we packaged those same mixes for a fundraiser. They sold like hot cakes and we covered a year of fundraising in one weekend.

People asked me to make more, so I founded Evergreen Helping Hands, LLC. We make baking mixes for not-for-profits to sell in their own fund raisers. When we sell a bag ourselves, we give part of the proceeds to charity.

We mix every recipe by hand with wholesome ingredients, just like you would if you had the time. We package some of our mixes in nice gift bags, because you might not have time to tie the bow yourself. Plus, we always include preparation tips for families with special diets.

That's why we call ourselves "helping hands".
